We are currently hiring for postdoctoral researchers to develop multi-dimensional spectroscopies in the terahertz to mid-infrared frequency range.
We are seeking outstanding candidates for an experimental postdoctoral position in the Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science Division at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The successful candidate will focus on developing and performing ultrafast optical spectroscopies of quantum materials, primarily so-called ‘multi-dimensional spectroscopies’ in the terahertz to mid-infrared frequency range. Studies of interest include strongly correlated electron systems, topological materials, and low-dimensional nanostructures, both in equilibrium and in light-induced non-equilibrium states. Access to extensive user facilities at BNL will be available, including the adjacent Center for Functional Nanomaterials.
Starting date is flexible, and applications will be reviewed until positions are filled.
We especially welcome postdocs with fellowships, and would be happy to support you in applying both before and after joining our group.
International applicants in particular can consider the following funding opportunities:
Outstanding candidates can also apply for the Goldhaber fellowship at BNL.
